Vera and Pat Purcell

are in the top 1% of Koenig & Strey’s agents in sales and volume, and in the top 1% Internationally for GMAC. They are members of the President’s Club, and in addition to their many other real estate accomplishments, they have also received the highest Premier Service award. They have raised their four children, while each having their own careers. Their ability to work well together, along with the combination of their diverse skills, made it an easy decision to become a team of Realtors. "The two of us complement each other and our clients get the benefit of our individual skills and experience combined. We each pick up where the other leaves off," says Vera.

Pat has an MBA and has been the owner of small businesses, a broker in commercial real estate and has worked on several development projects. Vera was an educator and also a bereavement counselor who created and managed a program at a major medical center.

The two were raised in Chicagoland, and though they moved to California, they returned to the North Shore in 1993. Pat knew his wife would be an excellent realtor due to her counseling skills and therefore encouraged Vera to pursue a career in residential real estate. He was correct, and Vera’s immediate success led her to encourage Pat to come back to the real estate business as her partner.

Vera and Pat bring two distinctly different approaches and areas of expertise to the team- Pat the entrepreneur with great business experience, and Vera the teacher with superb counseling experience. As Vera says, "The skills I developed as a counselor have helped us and our clients tremendously. Often a move involves a loss- divorce, job loss, death or a transfer."

Vera and Pat give back to the community as well. Vera has enjoyed working on the board of Boys and Girls Club, The Women’s Board of Catholic Charities, as a trustee of the library, and the Newcomers Club to name a few. Pat is involved in The Ponds association and The United Way board.
